Patricka Ferguson was born on January 21, 1996 in Grand Bahama Island, in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Named after her father Patrick Ferguson, an island boatman with 13 children, her mother Natasha, is an island craftswoman and dancer.
Patricka's modeling career started through her involvement in pageantry, which began at the age of 9. When she was 15 she entered the city pageant, which her cousin won, but she came first runner-up. It encouraged her to re-enter the following year, and she successfully walked away with the crown of Miss Eight Mile Rock. With a love for singing and dancing, Patricka entered Miss Talented Grand Bahama the following year. With no formal training, but influenced by her mother, she performed a mixed-cultural dance depicting styles from The Bahamas, Haiti, Jamaica, United States, and Africa and took second place in that pageant. |

Modelling Career
When Oilinsha Models & Talent came to scout in Grand Bahama Island earlier this year, Patricka and her brother Shaquille showed up to cast, and both were entered as contestants in the 2013 Supermodel of the Bahamas completion, which is similar to America's Next Top Model. In July she won the title and her brother came second to Lacarz Brown of Nassau in the male category. Going forward the exotic beauty plans to study dermatology while nurturing her modeling career. Her parents are proud to watch her excel and to see her travel and follow her dreams. |
